San Juan County is updating their Comprehensive Plan which will include a new climate element. They are planning to complete these updates by June 30, 2025. To help us advocate for protecting the San Juans, Friends is assembling a Comp Plan Action Team. As part of the team, you will join other volunteers to discuss the proposed updates and how to best advocate for impactful climate-focused changes. To share your vision for the future of San Juan County, you may choose to write letters and/or speak at Planning Commission and County Council hearings, and we will help you do this.
