Great Islands Clean-up: Nurdle Hunt with Friends!

Great Islands Clean Up is a powerful community stewardship event that we love hosting with our partners, Plastic Free Salish Sea!

While clean-up events happen on all of the ferry-serviced islands, you can join Friends on San Juan Island at Jackson Beach! In true Friends fashion, we offer a deeper dive into ecosystem education and action by focusing on a GREAT NURDLE HUNT with at Jackson Beach.

Meet us at the Jackson Beach shelter at 10:30 AM to learn what nurdles are, how they harm the marine food web, and how they got onto our beaches, and then take action with us to remove these pesky small plastic pellets! 

This is a great activity for the whole family—young kids love a GREAT NURDLE HUNT. We hope you can join us!
